I’ve had the opportunity to meet Larry and he is an amazing guy! I am so glad he had this opportunity to make history, what a great podcast.
Good story, Larry. I was at that game with a couple of friends of mine. Saved the little paper cup that we got the free beer in and you autographed it for me at a baseball dinner about 25 years are so later. Also, saved the box score from the paper and saved ti in the cup. I am pretty sure my wife threw them both out.
Ah, well. We did stay to the end and watched your on field interview at the start of the 3rd base dugout. Yours and Mike Scott’s are the only two that I have seen in person. Very memorable for me.
