On April 2, 1931, The New York Yankees played an exhibition game against the Chattanooga Lookouts, but little did they know what an exhibition it would be. Before the game, the Lookouts sent out a press release announcing they had signed a 17-year-old left handed pitcher by the name of Jackie Mitchell, and SHE would pitch against the Yankees. The 17-year-old girl then did the impossible, striking out legends, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.
